Edgar Fernando-Gomez made sexual contact with the girl in May at a residence in Jersey City, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. The victim was known to Fernando-Gomez, authorities said. Fernando-Gomez was charged with sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child, Suarez said.
He was arrested at his residence and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending his first court appearance, Suarez said.
